My Conclusion
I think that the impact of The Battle of Dunkirk was very positive and reassuring to people back in Britain and also to the soldiers themselves. Even though, it did not affect the war much it definitely boosted the morale in Britain and was something to be very proud of. A short term effect was that both British and French soldiers were stranded on the beaches at Dunkirk. It may have been scary, but within four days, thousands were rescued. I think that if it took a longer amount of time to rescue the soldiers, it may not have had such a big effect on the positivity of Britain. A long term effect is that lots of equipment were lost on the beach. This would have cost lots of money and would have cost Britain lots of money to replace it and may have taken a long time to get the new guns, ships and planes. Overall, I think that the impact on Britain was a very good impact and I think that The Battle of Dunkirk was a great success!
